Water has warmed to 72* the lst few days and the fishing has improved. The snook bite has been good in the AM the last few days as the tides have been moving early and slowed late. Last week the afternoons we best. Tides will flow good in the afternoon and morning next week. Snook are both inside and outside. I had a 10 year old today that caught a 36" snook. His grandfather in 22 years never seem one that big. Not bad for his first trip. Redfish were good earlier in the week and slowed towards the end. Bill Regland brought his daughters boyfriend that took 3 reds on his first trip to 29 inchs. Trout are fair and I have been fishing snook mostly. Pompano are on the outside flats on jigs. We had a amazing day in the morning offshore with Kingfish to 48". Hooked almost 20 in 2 hours plus bonita to 14 lbs. The tide switched and the fish moved as we went back for them in the afternoon. Bait is still offshore and should move in shore soon. Feels like spring is here... Good Fishing... Capt Robert Walczak Select another page || Go to Home Page |
