APRIL 08 REPORTS

April 15

With tarpon showing early this week we had great action for 2 days. We took a 170 lb fish this week with multiple fish from 80 lbs and up. A front that dropped water once again last night 12* has shut them down and slowed fishing in the back. We were taking average 20-30 snook a day prior to the front. Today we took 12 on a half day with 2 nice redfish. Bait was good but went to shrimp as the wind was over 20 MPH. I had a 12 year old early this week take a 20 lb tarpon! The fly was good with alot of snook with one 30 inch fish. Many smaller fish in the back bays around small glass minnows. The front is to stay again tommorrow but by the weekend warm stable weather to continue thru next week. We should have another shot at the tarpon again if the conditions stabilize. The tides are to improve and the snook should be great as well.
Good Fishing...
