JULY 08 REPORTS

July 12

Hot weather and hot fishing. The snook bite is great with fish both on the outside and in the back bays. Small bait has the fish on the feed. Live bait has been the best but artifical has also been good. Redfish have been tough and should improve the next few months. Water temps are a little warm for them. Tarpon have improved with alot of fish in the back and the outside. Mixed sized fish from 20lbs to 120lbs. Alot of big mangrove snapper for the table have moved in. Some fish to 21 inchs and small live bait has been the best. BIG sharks are excellent for those who like to catch big fish fast. Some of the sharks have been near 175lbs. No major weather changes so the patterns should continue for some time.
