Well we are into 2010 and it started of interesting. The winter fishing was great and then the cold weather moved in. We broke records for weeks and water temps dropped to 43* in the backcountry. We had a fish kill as the temps had a hard time coming up due to cold and lack of sun. Things have really rebounded and the water temps are up to 63*. Sunny days with air temps near 80* and night temps in the 50's. The trout bite has really jumped back as we took 25 in 3 hours yesterday with most being slot fish. Not many snook shallow but reds are the bars. We sight fished a few reds to 35 inchs on one shoreline. Sheepshead and black drum are also good both inside and outside. With warm temps expected the next week I would look towards better fishing and water temps to really jump up. Good Fishing... Capt Robert Walczak Select another page || Go to Home Page |
