Hot weather has hit us this past week. We have had light winds and the tarpon turned on. Tarpon have hit the islands and beaches. They have been eating fly, bait and bait. We should have a good tarpon season as the fish are all the way to the Ft Myers Beach area. Snook fishing has been good. The fish are holding in certain areas with most fish being on the larger side. I fished Joe Fitori for a half day morning and took 12 nice snook between 24-32 inchs. Big snapper have hit the islands with some fish to 5 lbs. Shark fishing remains good as well with mostly bull sharks averaging around 110 LBS. Bait is starting to move nearshore with alot of thread herring. Makeral and tarpon seem to be keeping close to the food. Early summer fishing can be as hot as the weather. Get out and try it! Good Fishing...
